What is lead-free crystal?
Crystal glass traditionally used lead oxide to achieve clarity and weight. Lead-free crystal replaces this with other minerals - typically barium, zinc, or titanium - to achieve the same brilliance, without the health concerns. BaoMao glasses are 100% lead-free and safe for daily use.
Is lead-free crystal as good as traditional crystal?
Yes. Modern lead-free crystal is optically identical to traditional crystal. You get the same clarity, resonance (that satisfying ring when you clink), and refractive brilliance, without the lead.
Is it safe to drink from every day?
Absolutely. Lead-free crystal is food-safe and approved for daily use. Unlike older crystal glasses, there is zero risk of lead leaching into your drink.
How does lead-free crystal enhance the taste of wine?
The thin rim (0.6–0.9mm) and the shape of the bowl direct wine precisely onto the right part of your palate. The crystal itself doesn't affect taste, but the glass shape does.
Are the glasses dishwasher safe?

How does crystal differ from regular glass?
Regular soda-lime glass is heavier, thicker, and optically duller. Crystal - lead-free or otherwise - is lighter, clearer, and thinner. The difference is immediately noticeable in both hand feel and drinking experience.
