It started when Thomas began writing his first cookbook (Noodles 101). As we poured ourselves into the food shoots, styling plate after plate, we kept coming back to the same realisation: the right tableware doesn't just hold food, it transforms how a meal feels. The mood it sets. The way it invites people to slow down and actually be present.

We're Max and Thomas, co-founders and two people who genuinely love the ritual of eating together. BaoMao grew out of that love, and out of a feeling we couldn't shake: that somewhere along the way, tableware had gotten boring. Safe. Forgettable. We wanted to create something where luxurious and playful could finally coexist, not just in tableware, but in a way we honestly felt was missing across the board.

BaoMao® was created to change that. To take the dull and the overlooked, and turn it into something that puts a smile on your face. Pieces you're proud to set out, excited to photograph, and happy to show off. Tableware that doesn't just sit on your table, it becomes part of the story of your meal.

Every item in our collection is chosen with sustainability in mind, because we think beautiful things should also be responsible ones. We believe the dinner table is one of the few places where design, food, and human connection truly meet, and we want BaoMao to be worthy of that space.
