Refund policy

At BaoMao, we want you to enjoy your purchase. We take great care in designing, producing, and packaging our products. However, because many of our products are made of glass and other fragile materials, it is important to understand the conditions under which refunds and returns apply.

By purchasing from BaoMao, you agree to the following terms:

1. Eligibility for Refunds and Returns

We accept returns and refunds on eligible products, provided that they are:

  • Unused and in their original packaging.
  • Returned within 14 days of receiving your order.
  • Not hygiene-sensitive items, such as chopsticks and glass straws (Mariposa Straws).

Please note: Sale or discounted items will be refunded at the purchase (discounted) price. Proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation) is required for all returns.

2. Refund Options

If your return is approved, you may choose from the following options:

  • Full Refund – issued to your original payment method.
  • Replacement Order – we will send you the same product again.
  • Store Credit – credit applied to your BaoMao account for future purchases.

3. Fragile Materials: Important Notice

Our glassware and similar items are fragile and must be handled with care. We do not issue refunds or replacements for products damaged due to misuse, accidents, dishwashing, handwashing, or other customer handling after delivery.

Refunds or replacements are only offered if the product arrives damaged upon delivery.

4. Damaged or Defective Items Upon Delivery

If your order arrives damaged or defective, please contact us at returns@bao-mao.com within 48 hours of receiving your package. Include:

  • Your order number.
  • Photos of the damaged or defective item.

Once verified, we will offer a free replacement or a refund. Please note that in some cases, shipping fees may still apply for replacements.

5. Return Shipping Costs

Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping, except in cases where an item was received damaged or defective.

We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service, as we cannot guarantee receipt of your returned item.

6. How to Request a Refund or Return

To initiate a refund or return, please email returns@bao-mao.com with the following details:

  • Your order number.
  • A brief explanation of your request.
  • (If applicable) Photos of any damaged or defective items.

7. Processing Time

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your request. Approved refunds will be processed immediately, though the time it takes for funds to appear in your account may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
